this is the generation after the one you posted.
I see some pontiac vibe in the back, and i see some Camaro in the mirrors.

thanks! That is a big leap from what I posted. I like the wheels and all the design cue except for the mirrors.
What engine powers this btw?

info from WIKI....
i’m guessing it’s the 3s-gte since it looks like the one pictured has the ground effects, hood, mags.....
I had to look up the car, since the pic you posted was giving me a strong Suzuki vibe, but nope, no suzuki dna in this.

For some reason several of these have managed to find their way to Finland. I have seen couple of them on the road but they are a bit hard spot as they resemble the 1st gen Avensis wagons very much and these are really common here.

For some reason this generation Caldina was only available in Japan as a wagon but European Avensis was also available as a sedan. I have been wondering if Caldina GT sedan would look better or sillier.

I think it has the only automatic application of the trusty Toyota 3S-GTE. AWD to boot. I saw 2 driving near the Toyota headquarters in Torrance a few years back. I still wonder why they were there.
